Call Forwarding

Call Forwarding automatically forwards your calls to another location when you plan to be away from your telephone for an extended period of time or you do not wish to receive any calls.

VARIABLE Call Forwarding:

To Use Variable Call Forwarding:

  • Dial *72
  • Dial the forward-to number. The feature is active when someone answers at the forwarding number. If there is no answer go to step 3, within 2 minutes
  • Repeat steps 1 and 2
FIXED Call Forwarding

With fixed Call Forwarding, the forward-to number has been selected by the subscriber and permanently programmed by Consolidated.

To Use Fixed Call Forwarding:

  • Dial *72, you will then get a second dial tone.
  • Dial the forward-to number. The feature is active when someone answers at the forwarding number. If there is no answer go to step 3, within 2 minutes
  • Dial # and wait for two short (confirmation) tones.
  • Hand up.

For variable and fixed call forwarding, the subscriber’s telephone receives a burst of ringing when a call is forwarded. This indicates that the call forwarding feature is activated and also serves as a reminder to deactivate the forwarding feature, when desired. The subscriber cannot answer the forward number until the forwarding feature is deactivated by dialing *73, however, the subscriber can make new calls.
